Deepak Jain, the Founder Chairman of the Amity College – Florida born in a family bound with strong ethical principles and high moral values. He is raised with strict religious Jainism tradition and has been close to Hinduism and Buddhist customs. In his childhood he attended numerous camps for moral & religious educations and spiritual practices organized by temples and religious societies in India.
Since his childhood, Deepak has been watching the positive effects of religious practices on human lives and noticed extreme friendliness of nature towards religious souls. He experienced the trueness embedded in Vedas, Puranas, Mantras, Shlokas, and other historic religious texts.
Highly captivated with the positive effects of religious practices on his life, Deepak started studying Jain Puranas (ancient religious texts), Ramayana, Mahabharata, and many other religious texts including some parts of Bible too. He started practicing Yoga and meditation and experienced the possessions of additional energies, feelings, and thoughts towards betterment of humanity. He started utilizing his superfluous energies for social services and counselling purposes.
Gradually, Deepak turned into a visionary developed with immense working experience in spiritual practices, religious considerations, research, academics, and corporates augmented with spiritual lights and a confidence of being near to God, more recognized as “Prof. Jain”.
Prof. Jain is a member of International Association of Buddhist Universities (IABU). He is author of several books and research papers. Other than many other prestigious titles, he has been honored with “President’s Call of Service Award” and Gates & Custodian Person of Year 2013 award in Academic Research category.
In his strict routine of prayers and spiritual activities he emphasis on the need to moral education, and spiritual practices in studies and with these thoughts, he envisioned a non-secular educational institution built on strong base of spirituality to facilitate the coexistence of diversity of beliefs of different religions directed towards uniqueness of God and tagged it as the “Amity College”.
Prof. Jain promotes religious and spiritual education to support spreading of moral values, ethical means of existence, and better sense of responsibilities in human beings. He envisage Amity College as a unique combination of classroom studies and online learning infrastructure to serve as a means of spreading light of knowledge, power of spirituality, and global peace.
